Name?
My name is Ocean. My mother always had a fond love of rivers and water. She spends most of the nice and not so nice Summer days on a canoe drifting down the river. I guess it makes sense that she names me after something she loves so much.

How old are you?
I am 18.

Where do you live?
I currently live in the City Of Saints (Montreal, Quebec) with one of my best friends in a small apartment.

What are some places that you want to live/visit?
The main places that I want to wander through are:

Iceland
Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia
Bora Bora
The tree hotels in Sweden
Arizona
Masai Mara
Australia
Ireland
England
Finland
California
Maldives

Single or taken?
I’m currently in a very, very loving relationship with Netflix.

What kind of camera do you have?
I tend to always carry around disposable cameras (Any brand at all!) I also own a Mr. Pink Diana F+, a Fisheye 2, A Polaroid 600 Land Camera and a Canon A35F that my grandfather gave to me, and a Canon Rebel XSi.

Can I add you on facebook?
I like to keep my facebook for my personal friends, i’m sorry! If I follow you however, and you’d like to add me feel free to - just send a message saying who you are!

How would you describe yourself?
Reckless, Wild, Anarchist in the sense that I believe people should have the freedom to run their own lives instead of having people make their decisions for them. Sometimes a rebel without a cause. Sometimes a rebel with one. And sometimes a kid who likes running through the woods barefoot and making sun tea.

Do you speak any languages other than English?
I’m bilingual, English is my first language and french is my second. I’m also not too bad at speaking Icelandic. I also know a fair bit of Irish gaelic and can understand Danish quite well! When I have free time I love teaching myself new languages! I’m kind of a language nerd.

Favorite color?
I like grey.

Are you edge?
I was alcohol and drug free for a few months, and occasionally I go back to that every now and again.

Are you religious?
I was raised in a Christian family, and still hold onto some of the beliefs - however, as i’ve grown and had time to explore my own mind, thoughts what I believe in.. and I don’t completely agree with a lot of the Christianity beliefs. I do like to believe in some form of higher power, whether that be a man with a incredible beard or not.

Favorite type of music?
I enjoy all music! More so folk music lately than anything. You’d be surprised at the differences in what I listen to.

What do you do on your free time?
I seem to have a lot of that on my hands lately. I like to go on nature walks, make crafts, paint, draw, write and play music. I also like to set up little side projects for myself! Such as photoshoots; that include a certain theme or something of that sort. I go out on weekends to pubs and clubs and catch up with friends or just hang out.

Do you play video games?
I like playing SIMS. I’m also kick-ass at Zelda. And Mario. Everyone loves Mario games. Spyro too!

Favorite animal?
Wolves, Foxes, Lions and Stags. They each have their own little story behind them.

  • Wolves: I’ve always had a strange obsession and connection with wolves ever since I can remember! Wolf paintings, shirts, toys.. you name it. My grandmother bought me this black wolf once when I was somewhere between 6-8 years old. It was rubber and probably the size of my head, and when you pushed a button hidden on a spot on its back it moved its head upwards and howled! I brought it to show and tell once. It’s safe to say I was a proud lil kid. A lot of the spiritual and/or qualities wolves are associated with often apply to me and my personality.
  • Foxes: A little similar to my wolf story, a lot of the spiritual/qualities foxes are associated with apply to me in quite a lot of ways. I’ve always loved foxes. Simple as that.
  • Lions: There’s no real story behind this one. I’ve always loved lions since I was small, always will. I watch big cat documentaries from time to time. They’re just one of those animals that I love a little more than the others.
  • Stags: My grandfather loved hunting. He loved deer, moose.. he slept with two blankets the entire almost 20 years I knew him, one with birds on it and one with deer. He took a picture of 3 stags once - and God, was he ever proud of that blurry way too far to see picture. It was autumn, and they were standing in the middle of a dirt road. He took out his disposable camera and shot a few pictures. He was so disappointed that they turned out hard to see, so I cropped and edited them as best as I could and printed them out for him. I still have those pictures, somewhere. Stags will forever remind me of him, which is the reason they’re one of my favourite animals.

Favorite movie?
Princess Mononoke, Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, Pirates Of The Caribbeans (All of them!), The Lost Boys, Waking Life.

What are your hobbies?
I enjoy long walks through the woods, attempting to sing even though I know very well that my voice is best used for hushed lullabies, playing instruments, learning new things and then trying said things, going to concerts - as a photographer and as a kid in the audience, travelling, meeting new people and old friends, going to thrift shops and finding treasures. Going to used book stores and finding treasures. Writing.
